BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Viera Hawks girls soccer team defeated Martin County 1-0 on Tuesday to clinch a berth into the FHSAA Class 6A State Finals.
Viera and Martin County kept it close for most of the game until the defense began to dominate, eventually leading to the Hawks’ lone goal on the evening by senior forward Morgan Burbaker.
The Class 6A State Finals are set for Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.
Viera will travel to Neptune Beach where they will face the no.2 ranked Fletcher Senators.
