BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Guam. Italy. Puerto Rico. Korea. Greece. Germany. The Philippines. These are just a few of the international locations where the military veteran residents of Indian River Colony Club in Viera were once stationed.

On Saturday, April 30, eager bargain-hunters will have a chance to peruse treasures from around the world when the gated golf community holds its annual IRCC Garage Sale Extravaganza from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the IRCC Maintenance Facility.

The Viera neighborhood of nearly 800 homes at 1936 Freedom Drive invites the public to park along Murrell Road and enter through its south gate at Continental Boulevard for the duration of the event.

Far from an ordinary garage sale, the IRCC Garage Sale Extravaganza event will feature military memorabilia, arts & crafts items from over 40 neighborhood artisans, and a mile high table of mouth-watering baked goods, in addition, to gently used household items, furniture, clothing, sporting equipment and more.

Proceeds from items sold by the Air Force and Marine Women organizations will fund their charitable outreach efforts on the Space Coast.

For more information about the IRCC Garage Sale Extravaganza, call 256-617-9887.

The Garage Sale at Indian River Colony Club will have much more available for purchase than the offerings of an average neighborhood.

“Our residents are military veterans who have collected items from every corner of the world,” said Teresa Ortiz, Chairperson of the Indian River Colony Club Resident Activities Council.

“I am always surprised at the quality and variety of items for sale at this annual event. There are some things you just won’t find anywhere else.”

Viera’s very first neighborhood, Indian River Colony Club is known as “The Place Patriots Call Home.” A haven for military retirees, the par-72 private golf course community has a patriotic culture and country club amenities for active adults aged 55 and over.
