BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – On Saturday, March 7, eager bargain-hunters will have a chance to peruse treasures from around the world when the gated golf community holds its annual IRCC Garage Sale Extravaganza from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Indian River Colony Club Maintenance Facility in Viera.

Guam, Italy, Puerto Rico, Korea, Greece, Germany and the Philippines, these are just a few of the international locations where the retired military residents of Indian River Colony Club in Viera were once stationed.

The Viera neighborhood of nearly 800 homes at 1936 Freedom Drive invites the public to park along Murrell Road and enter through its south gate at Continental Boulevard for the duration of the event.

Far from an ordinary garage sale, the IRCC Garage Sale Extravaganza event will feature military memorabilia, arts and crafts items from over 40 neighborhood artisans and a mile high table of mouth-watering baked goods, in addition to gently used household items, furniture, clothing, sporting equipment and more.

Proceeds from items sold by the Air Force Wives and Marine Wives organizations will fund their charitable outreach efforts on the Space Coast. For more information about the IRCC Garage Sale Extravaganza, call 706-455-9935.

“Our military retirees have collected items from every corner of the world,” said LaVerne Coseo of the Indian River Colony Club Residents Activity Council.

“We are often surprised ourselves at the range of exceptional items that turn up on the tables for sale. This is a chance to pick up things you just won’t find anywhere else.”
