Palm Bay Aquatic Center Offers Summer Swim Lessons for Kids Through 12 years Old Beginning June 7

LIMITED NUMBER OF SPACES AVAILABLE DUE TO A SHORTAGE OF SWIM INSTRUCTORS

The Palm Bay Aquatic Center will host swim lessons for kids ages 6 months through 12 years old this summer. The center is located at 420 Community College Parkway SE, in Palm Bay. There will be a limited number of spaces available due to a shortage of swim instructors. Click here to register.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Aquatic Center will host swim lessons for kids ages 6 months through 12 years old this summer.

The center is located at 420 Community College Parkway SE in Palm Bay.

There will be a limited number of spaces available due to a shortage of swim instructors. Each session will be 3 weeks long, twice a week, for 30 minutes.

A list of class sessions is posted below:
Parent/Tot lessons will teach water orientation (ages 6 mo. – 3 yrs.)
·        7:30-8 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 7 – June 23
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 7 – June 23
·        7:30-8 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 28 – July 14
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 28 – July 14
·        7:30-8 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from July 19 – August 4
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from July 19 – August 4
Preschool lessons will teach Intro to Water Skills & Fundamental Aquatic Skills (ages 3-5 yrs.)
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 7 – June 23
·        9-9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 7 – June 23
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 28 – July 14
·        9-9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 28 – July 14
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from July 19 – August 4
·        9-9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from July 19 – August 4
Level 1 lessons will teach Introduction to Water Skills and help participants feel comfortable in the water (ages 612 yrs.)
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 7 – June 23
·        9-9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 7 – June 23
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 28 – July 14

Level 2 lessons will teach Fundamental Aquatic Skills and is for children who are already comfortable in the water (ages 612 yrs.)

·        9-9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 7 – June 23
·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 28 – July 14

·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from July 19 – August 4
·        9-9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from July 19 – August 4
Level 3 lessons will teach Stroke Development and builds on the skills learned in level 2 through additional guided practice in deeper waters (ages 612 yrs.)

·        8-8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays from June 28 – July 14

The cost is $40 per session. Discounts are available for children who receive EBT benefits or Free/Reduced Lunch. Registration will open on Monday, May 16 at 9 AM and will be done online only at playonline.palmbayflorida.org.

For patrons who do not already have an online account with the Palm Bay Recreation Department, creating one before registration starts will save time and give the best chance to grab open spots once registration begins.

Those who already have an account should sign on ahead of time and make sure all the children interested in lessons are added to the account.
