Six Eastern Florida State College Students Selected to All-Florida Academic Team

EFSC Academic Team honorees among 144 students from 28 Florida Colleges

Six Eastern Florida State College students have been selected to the 2022 All-Florida Academic Team for their outstanding scholarship and work in the community. The All-Florida Academic Team consists of 144 students from the 28-member Florida College System that includes Eastern Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Six Eastern Florida State College students have been selected to the 2022 All-Florida Academic Team for their outstanding scholarship and work in the community.

The All-Florida Academic Team consists of 144 students from the 28-member Florida College System that includes Eastern Florida.

They are nominated by their colleges and selected based on high achievement in the classroom, leadership on campus, and service to the community.

“These students represent the very best at EFSC and the very best in our community and state,” said college President Dr. Jim Richey. “All of us are extremely proud of them.

“Their accomplishments are even more impressive when you consider there are more than 800,000 students in the Florida College System, and they achieved this honor despite all the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Below are the six Eastern Florida State College students:

■ Mason Derwitsch – Associate in Arts

■ Elizabeth Eskildsen – Bachelor of Applied Science, Organizational Management, General Business

■ Patricia Faella – Associate in Arts

■ Mandy Hackworth – Associate in Arts

■ Ancuta Rader – Associate in Science, Social and Human Services

■ Tim Nguyen – Associate in Arts
