BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A Cocoa woman was for grand theft on Tuesday after allegedly stealing over $10,000 from a Boy Scout group who were raising money for a trip to Europe.

The woman has been identified as 44-year-old Robin DeRushie.

Investigators say DeRushie was a district committee member for the troop and was responsible for depositing over $10,000 into the account for the Cocoa-based Scouts Boy Scouts of America troop for a trip to Europe.

However, DeRushie was reportedly depositing the money into her personal account and purchased items with the money, according to deputies.

DeRushie was booked into the Brevard County Jail.
