Pair of Eastern Florida State Softball Players Named to FCSAA All-State Softball First Team

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A pair of Eastern Florida State College softball players were named to the FCSAA All-State Softball First Team on Wednesday.
Outfielder Kayla Domon was named to the first team after having a big season for the Titans.
The sophomore from Knoxville, Tennessee hit .416 with nine doubles and six triples in 49 games this season. The leadoff hitter finished tied for second in the state in stolen bases with 48 which is also second in program history.
The 48 stolen bases are also tied for 10th in the nation.
Domon is one of 17 players to make the first team in the state and joins six others Titans players to be named to the first team since 2010.
Third baseman Brooke Theisen was named to the all-state second team after finishing the season hitting .416 with 44 runs scored and stole 19 bases in her freshman season.
The Clermont, Florida native played in 48 games this season with seven doubles and 21 runs batted in for the Titans.
Theisen is the first Titans player to make the all-state second team since Katelyn Wilfert in 2019 and is the seventh player since 2009.
“We are proud of the season both Kayla and Brooke had this year,” Eastern Florida State College softball coach Shelby Petik said.
“Their selflessness, hard work, and commitment to the Eastern Florida State College program paid off and we are extremely happy their efforts are being acknowledged on the regional level.”
Eastern Florida State College finished the season 26-24 overall and 14-12 in the Southern Conference.
