Florida Tech Panther Battalion Commissions Cadet Regina Gaglione as New Army Second Lieutenant

Gaglione graduated from Florida Tech with Bachelor of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Institute of Technology ROTC Panther Battalion commissioned the newest Second Lieutenant in the United States Army during ceremonies at the Florida Tech All Faiths Center on Sept. 2.

Cadet Regina Gaglione took the oath of office and was pinned on the rank of an Army Second Lieutenant with Florida Tech Panther Battalion cadets, cadre, family and friends in attendance.

Dean Robert A. Taylor, Ph.D., Professor of History and Dean of the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts at Florida Tech. was the guest speaker.

Colonel Steve Bond, U.S. Army Retired, Senior Vice President for the Florida Council of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), welcomed her to the Officers Corps on behalf of the 350,000 members of MOAA and wished her well on her journey as an Army Officer.

He presented Gaglione with a “Gold Bar Commissioning Set,” the rank insignia of Second Lieutenants in the Army, from the MOAA Cape Canaveral Chapter.

Second Lieutenant Gaglione graduated from Florida Tech with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology. While at Florida Tech, she served in multiple leadership positions in the Panther ROTC Battalion, including on the Battalion Staff and in the Color Guard.

She earned a competitive three-year ROTC scholarship and was the President of the Florida Tech Rugby Club. She is currently awaiting her service branch assignment to start her Army career.
