BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A pair of soccer players led their teams to wins last week and are the Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Oct. 9.

Men’s soccer player Rolando Onu and women’s soccer player Nancy Almanza were both named for the first time this season.

Onu, a sophomore from England had three goals and three assists in the two games, helping the Titans win both games in South Carolina. Onu had two assists in the win over USC Sumter and then had a hat trick and an assist in a win against USC Lancaster.

The freshman from DeLand had three goals in two big wins this week for the Titans Almanza scored once in a Region 8 Conference win over Polk State College and then had two goals against Pasco-Hernando State College last Saturday.

Almanza has now scored six goals this season for the Titans, who will travel to Polk State College on Wednesday afternoon for a conference game with the No. 16 ranked Eagles before traveling to No. 18 Daytona State College on Saturday night.

Onu now has four goals and six assists this season for the No. 16-ranked Titans who will play Lakeland United FC at 7 p.m. Saturday night at Orlando Health Stadium.
