Eastern Florida State Women’s Volleyball Jumps into National Rankings for First Time in Five Seasons

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s volleyball team is ranked for the first time in five seasons as the Titans are No. 17 in the final NJCAA Division I poll released on Monday.

The Titans defeated No. 18 Hillsborough Community College last week to finish the regular season 17-7.

Florida Southwestern is No. 1 in the poll with Indian Hills No. 2, Salt Lake third, Western Nebraska fourth, and Central Wyoming fifth.

Miami Dade is No. 7, Daytona State College is No. 15 and Hillsborough is 18th.

The ranking is the highest the Titans have been ranked in the national poll in the past two decades.

Eastern Florida State College will play Hillsborough in the first round of the FCSAA/NJCAA Division I Southeast District Tournament Friday at noon at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.
