Eastern Florida State College Women’s Basketball Player L’or Mputu Named Region 8 Player of the Week

Democratic Republic of the Congo native is averaging 10.9 pts, 7.5 rebounds per game

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball player L’or Eyeba Mputu was named the Region 8 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Mputu helped the Titans to a 2-1 record at the Lady Jets Holiday Classic in Americus, Georgia last week as the sophomore averaged 15 points and five rebounds in the tournament.

For the season, the forward from the Democratic Republic of the Congo is averaging 10.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this season.

It is the first time this season that Mputu has been named the state player of the week.

Eastern Florida State College will travel to Santa Fe College on Jan. 11 for the Central Conference opener.
