(247SPORTS.COM) – Rockledge High Top247 safety Jaylen Heyward announced his commitment to Georgia on Friday afternoon during a live broadcast on the 247Sports YouTube Channel, choosing to play for the two-time defending National Champs over his other finalists in Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, and Florida.
Tabbed by the Top247 as the nation’s No. 2 safety and sitting at No. 34 in the 247Sports Composite, Heyward adds to a Bulldogs recruiting class that already ranked No. 1.
“Coach Kirby Smart and Coach (Will) Muschamp and Coach Fran (Brown) showed me a great time when I went up there,” Heyward said. “They showed me everything I needed to see. At that point I knew I wanted to go to Georgia, I just had to make it official.”
