BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College softball player Makenzie Fore was named the Region VIII Player of the Week.

The sophomore from Oviedo had a big week for the Titans, going 8-for-11 with four doubles and a home run. The first baseman scored four times and drove in eight runs for the Titans.

Fore is hitting .339 this season with four home runs and 31 RBI with 28 runs scored in 46 games this season.

Eastern Florida State College will host Indian River State College Wednesday in a Southern Conference doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. at Titan Softball Complex.

Fore is one of five sophomores who will be honored after the doubleheader. Admission is free to games on the Melbourne campus.
