TEDx Coming to Florida’s Space Coast May 11 at the Radisson Resort at Port Canaveral

“Let’s Talk Possibilities” serving as theme for Inaugural TEDx Cape Canaveral Event on May 11

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Florida’s Space Coast will see its first TEDx Cape Canaveral event on Thursday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Radisson Resort at the Port Convention Center in Cape Canaveral.

Modeled after the world-renowned TED Conference, TEDx Cape Canaveral is dedicated to ideas worth spreading in the fields of technology, entertainment and design. The event will feature seven remarkable local speakers, each giving Talks reflecting this year’s theme: “Possibilities.”

In addition to Talks, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their own perspectives and ideas through interactive activities during planned breaks and intermission.

“The TEDx Cape Canaveral team is excited to foster open and engaging conversations around the theme and each topic to bring a new level of engagement to this inaugural event,” said TEDx Cape Canaveral Event Organizer Kristin Savage.

General admissions tickets are $100 and tickets will not be sold at the door and must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

● Clinton Hatcher – Aerospace & Aviation Business Liason with CareerSource Brevard, presenting “Workforce Development”
● Dr. Synthia Doaks – Director with Elevate Brevard, presenting “Community and Culture”
● Daniel Kolodny – COO at the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program, presenting “Innovations in Rebuilding the Environment”
● Jarin Eisenberg – CEO of Groundswell Startups, presenting “Startup Ecosystems & Culture”
● Mike Mongo – Author & Astronaut candidate, speaking about the “Future of Artificial Intelligence”
