SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, FLORIDA – SpaceX is set for the test flight of Starship on Thursday morning with an hour-long launch window that opens at 9:28 a.m. ET from SpaceX’s spaceport on the southern tip of Texas.

Starship is the most powerful rocket ever made, and you can watch the livestream of the launch beginning about 45 minutes prior to liftoff HERE.

This is the second launch attempt for Starship as the first try on Monday was scrubbed after a problem with a valve caused pressurization issues.

The Super Heavy rocket booster is a 230-foot-tall cylinder that is powered by 33 engines. The Starship spacecraft, which is 164 feet tall, rides on the rocket and will be propelled over the Gulf of Mexico as it heads toward space.

The Super Heavy rocket booster will expend most of its fuel, separate from the Starship spacecraft, and fall into the ocean.

Starship will then reenter Earth’s atmosphere near Hawaii and splash down in the Pacific Ocean about an hour and a half after liftoff.
