BCSO K-9 ‘Boomer’ Attends Home Depot Kid’s Workshop on Wickham Road

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Ok, 12 week old K-9 “Boomer” might need to exercise a little bit more but let’s be honest…who am I to give fitness advice? What I can tell you though is that K-9 “Boomer” and his handler, K-9 Deputy Shanna Joca or “Google” as we call her, had a great time today at the Wickham Road Home Depot Kid’s Workshop.
The Kid’s Workshop is a really cool free event hosted by our incredible partners at Home Depot where kids get to work on all types of projects and K-9 Boomer got to hang out and work on his socializing skills.
Boomer is being trained along with his other brothers and sisters to search for missing children and seniors with Alzheimer’s as well as to do K-9 Exhibitions at various events throughout Brevard County.
I could not be more proud of our BCSO K-9 Unit and K-9’s for all they do to keep our community safe and for all the smiles they bring to kids faces at presentations all over Brevard.
