BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Rockledge Department of Public Safety will hold its annual Stuff-a-Cruiser on Saturday, November 18, at Publix, located at 3820 Murrell Road, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Police and fire personnel, along with city officials, will be in front of Publix collecting food donations of any kind. Food collected will be donated to the Sharing Center of Central Brevard.
I recently had the opportunity to talk with the President/CEO of the Sharing Center of Central Brevard, David Brubaker, about the importance of events such as Stuff-a-Cruiser.

Brubaker told me, “We just can’t say thanks enough to the City of Rockledge for continuing this impactful event. Our Emergency Food Program is as busy as it’s ever been in our 45 years of service to our community. Events like these fuels our organization and allow us to meet the needs of those who come knock on our door.
“Last month we distributed 55,000 pounds of food through our program. That right there indicates to us that there are a lot of people struggling with hunger. Stuff-a-Cruiser helps us meet this immediate need. Thanks to all the police, firefighters, & EMT’s, who do all the hard work and of course thanks to Publix for allowing the City to collect the donations. A special thank you to the residents of Rockledge and all of Brevard who support this through donations.”
