Eastern Florida State Women’s Basketball Opens Regular Season with 85-45 Win Over Southern Crescent Tech

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team opened the regular season with a victory at the Battle on Beach Blvd. at the Florida State College at Jacksonville Friday afternoon.

The third-ranked Titans rolled in the opener against Southern Crescent Tech 85-45. Eastern Florida State College was up 10 after the first quarter and stretched the lead to 18 at halftime.

The Titans dominated the third quarter, outscoring Southern Crescent Tech by 25 in the period.Jaidyn Koerdt led the team with 15 points while Amelia Hassett and Andrea Chiquemba each recorded double-doubles.

Hassett had 14 points and 13 rebounds while Chiquemba had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Martina Narro also had 14 points in the win. Eastern Florida State College, who is now 1-0, will play Pensacola State College at 2 p.m. at FSC-Jacksonville.
