TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Tigers will celebrate their FHSAA 2S State Championship at Riverfront Park in Cocoa Village on January 27.

This marks Cocoa High School’s sixth state championship in program history and the second under head coach Ryan Schneider.

The Tigers scored 20 unanswered points after trailing 6-0 early in the first quarter. Cocoa made plays on all three levels. Wide receiver Nicholas Teeter and running back Latrison Lane each scored a touchdown.

On defense, linebacker Davi’yon Hawkins-Ingram had a sack along with a forced fumble that was recovered by linebacker Samadrae Hawkins. On special teams, kicker Gunnar Trout connected on two 25-yard field goals.
