One Person Injured After Tree Falls on House on Westview Lane in Titusville

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Fire Department responded to reports of a tree down on a house on Westview Lane Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials, the call came in just after 1:00 p.m. with “people screaming for help in the background.”

“A neighbor related just before the tree fell, the wind picked up as a storm approached,” said Titusville Fire Department spokesperson.

“After the tree fell, he heard a scream and found the patient on the ground. At that time he called 911.” On arrival, a large tree was found on the ground, with one patient on the ground suffering from a head/leg injury.

Reports suggest the tree was not on the patient, but the tree branches did hinder access to the patient.

Branches were cut away and the patient was prepared for transport to a local trauma center in stable condition by Brevard County Fire Rescue.
