BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — The Melbourne Police Department has launched a new interactive map that allows residents to view reported crimes by neighborhood or by type of incident. Data is updated daily, and the map is available HERE.

“We are excited to provide a newly added interactive map that displays reported crime in the City of Melbourne,” said Melbourne Police Chief David Gillespie.

“This new function is a powerful tool that brings transparency and awareness directly to our citizens. Providing reported crime data empowers residents to stay informed, engaged, and involved in the safety of their neighborhoods. Our goal is to strengthen trust and foster a collaborative approach to public safety,” said Gillespie.

MPD officials said that, in our ongoing commitment to maintaining trust and transparency with the citizens we protect and serve, our Open Data resource is designed to give the public and the media access to critical information that will help them stay engaged with the work of the Melbourne Police Department.

The robust database linked to Citizen Connect enables anyone to research our calls for service and track specific data, providing immediate results. This information is updated daily and can be filtered by date, location, and incident type. Data is available for up to five years.

Please note that the map shows the general location of incidents and does not provide specific addresses where incidents have been reported.

The map is available HERE.
