BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police arrested two suspects in a “significant” illegal drug operation believed to have supplied most of central Cocoa, according to police.

Police say they arrested 13-time convicted felon 33-year-old Terrance Britt, who is facing at least 15 years in prison for charges of trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The second suspect was identified as 27-year-old Phillip Salley. Salley was arrested for possession of cocaine and paraphernalia.

“On Friday, the Special Investigations Unit, with assistance from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Cocoa Police, Rockledge Police, and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office SWAT teams, executed simultaneous search warrants at three homes on Lynell Lane following a lengthy investigation into suspected illegal drug trafficking,” said Cocoa Police Department’s Yvonne Martinez.

According to officials, Cocoa Police agents working with FDLE received information that a significant amount of drugs was being sold from these locations.

Inside one of the homes, agents and detectives from Cocoa PD located approximately 2.5 pounds of crack cocaine with a street value of nearly $100,000, several large bags of marijuana, more than $3,000 cash, and two firearms.

“Our officers are working hard every day to make sure violent offenders are arrested and removed from our neighborhoods,” said Cocoa Police Chief Evander Collier IV.

“The residents deserve to live in peace, free from blatant drug activity and prostitution. These arrests will have a positive effect on the quality of life in the neighborhood where residents can feel safe again.”

Agents are working closely with the State’s Attorney’s Office to ensure successful prosecution that will keep the suspects out of the community.
