American Security Council Foundation Appoints Space Coast Resident, Retired Army Col. Steve Bond as Chairman

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The American Security Council Foundation proudly announces the appointment of Retired U.S. Army Colonel Steve Bond as its new board chairman.
With an illustrious career-spanning combat operations, humanitarian missions, and strategic advisory roles, Steve brings a wealth of experience and leadership to ASCF, best known for promulgating the “Peace Through Strength” campaign during the Cold War.
A distinguished veteran, he served in various capacities, including combat operations in Panama and Saudi Arabia/Kuwait, as well as humanitarian and peacekeeping missions in St. Croix and Haiti. His extensive service record reflects his commitment to safeguarding national security interests and promoting global stability.
After retiring from the Army, Steve continued to contribute significantly to the defense sector. He assumed the Director of Business Development role at one of the largest defense-aerospace companies in the U.S., where he played a pivotal role in advancing strategic initiatives and fostering collaborations within the industry.
His expertise and leadership were showcased during his tenure in a U.S. Government Senior Executive Service (SES) Flag/General Officer position.
He served as the Director of the Intelligence Transition Team and Senior U.S. Intelligence Advisor to the Iraqi Ministries of Defense (MOD), Interior (MOI), and the Counter-Terrorist Force during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His instrumental role in the strategic planning and execution of operations during “The Surge” in Iraq underscores his exceptional leadership abilities
and strategic acumen.
In addition to his remarkable military career, Steve holds a Master’s degree in history from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Utah. His military education includes the Army Command and General Staff College,
and the Army War College.
