BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The Coast Guard rescued a 60-year-old man following a medical emergency at sea on Wednesday.

The U.S. Coast Guard said the man was a crew member from a commercial fishing vessel when he needed assistance after feeling pains in his chest.

The boat was 29 miles from Port Canaveral when the call came in, and Coast Guard officials were able to safely transport to emergency medical services back ashore.
