Florida Tech Panthers Volleyball Earns 2024 AVCA Team Academic Award

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Florida Tech volleyball program was one of 171 total NCAA Division II programs to be honored with the 2024 SVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT as released by the association on Wednesday.
More than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintained a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
This is the seventh time in program history, since the creation of the award in 1992, and the third time in five years in which the Panthers have been recognized by the AVCA for the team’s hard work in the classroom.
Following a 9-21 debut season for Coach Jordan Willis, Tech will look to prove they are not just hard working in the classroom, but on the court as well.
With the Crimson and Gray’s official schedule posted, the Panthers will start its 2024 campaign in Greenwood, South Carolina at the Redderson Invitational hosted by Lander.
