Eastern Florida State Soccer Remains Undefeated with Shutout Win Over Coastal Bend in Texas

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team remained unbeaten with a shutout over No. 17 Coastal Bend Saturday night in Texas.

The ninth-ranked Titans defeated Coastal Bend 4-0 to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Sophomore Mukisa Emmanuel scored the game’s first goal in the first four minutes of the contest and finished with two goals. It would be the lone goal of the first half but it did not take the Titans long to add to the lead in the second half.

Eastern Florida State College would score three times in the second half as Ocira Lazarus scored his first goal of the season as did Rhys Shirley.

After two games, the Titans have scored 10 goals and allowed just one.

The men’s soccer team will travel to Enterprise State Community College for a 1 p.m. game on Friday. The home opener is scheduled for Sept. 3 against Lakeland United.
