Poll Shows Congress Candidate Mike Haridopolos Has 51-Point Lead Heading into Aug. 20 Primary Election

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Mike Haridopolos for Congress campaign released poll results on Thursday showing Haridopolos with a commanding lead in the District 8 Republican primary scheduled for August 20.
The results show Haridopolos as the clear frontrunner, leading the ballot with 56% compared to 6% for John Hearton and 4% for Joseph Babits and 33% undecided. When the undecideds were asked to choose a candidate, Haridopolos took 59% of them, compared to 31% for Hearton and 10% for Babits.
Haridopolos carries strong name ID, at 67% favorable – 12% unfavorable and only 6% having never heard of him. Conversely, his two opponents are virtual unknowns, with 20% favorable name ID for John Hearton and 19% favorable name ID for Joseph Babits.
With over $1 million raised and the endorsements of President Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, Leader Steve Scalise, Whip Tom Emmer, Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, outgoing incumbent Congressman Bill Posey, the NRA and dozens more local, state, and federal leaders and organizations, Haridopolos is on the path to a definitive victory in the August 20th Republican primary.
Spry Strategies conducted the poll by IVR and Online (Text-to- Web) Interviews from July 23 – 26 among a random sample of 532 likely primary election voters. The survey has a margin of error of +/- 4.2 percentage points. Results are weighted. Some percentages may not add to 100% due to rounding.
