BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa High School announced that Eusebio Solis has been selected as the Tiger’s new athletic director.

“I am honored and thrilled to be able to work along side some of the greatest people in the county,” said Solis.

“Thank you to Principal Stewart, Director of Athletics Robinson, and the community for entrusting me in this amazing opportunity. My goal is to be supportive and work along side all the programs and teams at Cocoa Jr./Sr. High School to give them the very best experience they can possibly have! Can’t hide that Tiger Pride!”

Solis has coached the Cocoa Tiger baseball team for the last two seasons and has prior athletic director experience at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School.

“He is looking forward to serving the students, families, and Cocoa community and will work alongside the coaching staff, teachers, and administrators to instill our Tiger PRIDE core values of Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Empathy in our athletic programs,” said a Cocoa High School spokesperson.

Solis has spent over 18 years in Brevard Public Schools: nine years as a Spanish teacher, nine years as an athletic director, and seven years as the head varsity baseball coach, all at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School.

He rebuilt Space Coast Jr/Sr High School’s baseball program and took them to three district championship games, two runner ups, and one district championship, advancing to regionals play three years in a row.

All Solis’ accomplishments were the first in school history and he stepped away to pursue the role of athletic director.
