Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey

The devastation is truly unimaginable and it is an incredible sight to see all of the first responders from across the state come together to help our Florida family during this time of need. – Sheriff Ivey

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I could not be more proud of our team and everything they have done in the last 2 days since our arrival in Taylor County. Our team was briefed by Sheriff Padgett and given our mission so we set up our “home away from home” and got our boots on the ground.

The devastation is truly unimaginable and it is an incredible sight to see all of the first responders from across the state come together to help our Florida family during this time of need.

Early this morning, our group came across a trailer fire with someone possibly stuck inside, however we were relieved to find out the woman had left just a bit earlier.

I ask that you continue to pray for the communities affected by this powerful hurricane, along with all of our law enforcement, fire rescue, and other responding organizations that are out here working to help restore these areas.
