His journey into the healthcare world, however, began with his first career as a police officer, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Penn State University.
The scholarship honors Dr. Wade Newman’s legacy of service, which was significantly influenced by a life-changing mission trip to Guatemala, where he witnessed the urgent need for dental care in underserved communities. This experience ignited his passion for humanitarian work, prompting him to participate in local and global outreach programs such as Mission of Mercy and Give Kids a Smile. In addition, Dr. Wade Newman has served over 20 years in the Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and participating in various humanitarian missions, including providing critical dental care to underserved populations in Africa.
Since founding Eagle Valley Family Dentistry in Milesburg, Pennsylvania, in 2018, Dr. Newman has remained steadfast in his mission to provide compassionate, high-quality dental care to his patients, while continuing to be an advocate for community service.
