Eastern Florida State College Soccer Remains Unbeaten After Shutout Win Over Cape Fear

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team remained unbeaten with a victory Sunday in North Carolina.

The No. 1 ranked Titans defeated Cape Fear Community College 4-0 to improve to 5-0 on the season.

After a scoreless first half, Eastern Florida State College got on the board with 25 minutes remining as sophomore Luc Achermann-Stanfield drilled a low shot into the corner of the net.

It was the third goal of the season for Achermann-Stanfield and opened things up as the Titans would score three more times in the next 18 minutes. Adrian Adrian scored his fifth goal of the season while Joao Loureiro found the back of the net for the fourth time.

Liam Kuemmitz rounded out the scoring with his first goal as a Titan. Goalkeeper Mateo Garcia-Galan made an outstanding save in the first half and picked up the shutout, making three saves.

Eastern Florida State College will play at USC Lancaster on Monday at noon before returning home for the conference opener against Daytona State College on Saturdaynight.
