Five Titusville Police Officers Honored With Promotions for Outstanding Service

New Sergeants and Corporals Bring Experience and Heart to Titusville Police Department

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — The Titusville Police Department celebrated the promotion of five of its members, marking an important milestone in the agency’s ongoing commitment to leadership development and community service.
Chief John Lau and his command staff announced the promotions during a recent ceremony, recognizing the dedication and professionalism of the newly appointed supervisors.
Promoted to Sergeant were Jesse Lengefeld, Justin Williams, and Dalton Baker. Advancing to the rank of Corporal were Tyler Glenn and Matthew Rasmussen.
“These promotions reflect our department’s commitment to preparing the next generation of leaders,” Chief Lau said. “Leadership at TPD isn’t just about rank—it’s about teamwork, problem-solving, and building strong relationships to make a difference in our community.”

The promotions come as part of TPD’s ongoing succession planning initiative, aimed at ensuring that capable, experienced leaders are ready to guide teams, support officers, and uphold the department’s mission of keeping Titusville safe.
All five officers bring years of experience, leadership, and community engagement to their new roles, further strengthening the department’s ability to serve the citizens of Titusville with integrity, compassion, and professionalism.
Serving a population of more than 48,000 residents, the Titusville Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that includes divisions in patrol, investigations, community engagement, and specialized units such as K-9, SWAT, and traffic enforcement.
