Cocoa Tigers Punch Ticket to FHSAA State Semifinals with 40-3 Win Over Newberry

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The defending back-to-back state champion Cocoa Tigers defeated no. 3 Newberry Panthers in the FHSAA 2A Regional Finals at Dick Blake Stadium on Friday.

The FHSAA State Semifinals are set for December 6, kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers are 9-3 this season.

Cocoa is ranked the no. 49 team in the nation and no. 21 in Florida according to MaxPreps.com

Along the way, Cocoa has defeated; Newberry, Berkeley Prep and Lake Placid.
