PREP FOOTBALL: Cocoa Tigers to Host Newberry in FHSAA Regional Finals on Friday

The defending back-to-back state champion Cocoa Tigers are set to host no. 3 Newberry Panthers in the FHSAA 2A Regional Finals at Dick Blake Stadium on Friday. (Cocoa Tigers FB image)

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The defending back-to-back state champion Cocoa Tigers are set to host no. 3 Newberry Panthers in the FHSAA 2A Regional Finals at Dick Blake Stadium on Friday.

Head Coach Ryan Schneider and the Cocoa Tigers are coming off a 37-12 second-round win over The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers.

The Tigers are 8-3 this season.

Cocoa is ranked the no. 49 team in the nation and no. 21 in Florida according to MaxPreps.com

The no. 3 seed Newberry Panthers are coming off a 34-19 win over the 2A State Runner-Up from last season in Bradford. The Panthers have a 10-2 record.
