OBITUARY: Cocoa High School Athletic Director Eusebio Solis Passes Away at Age 46

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa High School Athletic Director Eusebio Solis passed away on Sunday at 46.

Solis was named athletic director in July. Before his promotion, he was head coach of the Tiger baseball team for two seasons and had prior athletic director experience at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School.

Solis spent over 18 years in Brevard Public Schools: nine years as a Spanish teacher, nine years as an athletic director, and seven years as the head varsity baseball coach, all at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School.

He rebuilt Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School’s baseball program and took them to three district championship games, two runner-ups, and one district championship, advancing to regionals play three years in a row.

Solis’s accomplishments were the first in school history, and he stepped away to pursue the role of athletic director at Cocoa High School.
