MIAMI, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Tigers secured their third consecutive Class 2A State Championship with a 38-27 victory over the Gadsden County Jaguars on Thursday at Pitbull Stadium in Miami.

This remarkable win not only cements Cocoa’s dominance in Florida high school football but also adds another State Championship trophy to the school’s storied history, bringing their total to seven.

Brady Hart Shines in Championship Victory

The Player of the Game honors went to Cocoa’s dynamic quarterback, Brady Hart, who delivered a standout performance both through the air and on the ground. Hart threw for 259 yards and added 64 rushing yards, accounting for two total touchdowns in the win.

His versatility and poise under pressure were pivotal in the Tigers’ victory, as they held off a resilient Jaguars team that fought hard throughout the game.

Hart’s performance not only helped Cocoa claim the title but also showcased his ability to perform on the biggest stage. Looking ahead, Hart will take his talents to the college ranks, as he is signed to play for the Texas A&M Aggies next year, further solidifying his status as one of Florida’s top quarterbacks.

Jayvan Boggs Contributes to Cocoa’s Success

Cocoa’s offense was also bolstered by the impressive play of Jayvan Boggs, the team’s star wide receiver. Boggs racked up 112 receiving yards and caught one touchdown pass, helping the Tigers in crucial moments of the game.

The senior wideout has already signed his Letter of Intent to play at Florida State University next season, where he will continue his football career at the collegiate level.

Boggs’ combination of speed, hands, and football IQ made him a constant threat throughout the game, and his performance in the state title matchup was a fitting capstone to a stellar high school career and proven to be one of the best wide receivers in the nation.

This state football championship marks the Tigers’ seventh title, including in 1991, 2000, 2007, 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
