BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE BEACH, FLORIDA — Spring Fest is back for its third year, bringing a day of community celebration, creativity, and entrepreneurship to Ryckman Park on March 8, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The highly anticipated event, hosted by Melbourne Beach Parks Board, features the Kids Business Fair, a free community art project, and a full lineup of entertainment, games, and food.
One of the main highlights of Spring Fest is the Kids Business Fair, where over 100 kid entrepreneurs, ages 6-17, will showcase their businesses. Participants have spent weeks developing business plans, designing logos, and perfecting their products through the Melbourne Beach Rotary Club’s eight-week entrepreneurship program at Gemini Elementary.
The fair provides a platform for local youth to gain hands-on experience in business ownership and customer engagement. “The Kids Business Fair allows young entrepreneurs to explore what it means to be their own boss,” said Julie Samuel, event organizer and owner of Clever Noodle. “When children are exposed to business early, it opens doors to future opportunities.”
Shoppers can expect various handmade goods, including home-baked treats, jewelry, art, and unique crafts, with most items priced between $1 and $10. “Shop a kid business, support a big dream!” Spring Fest isn’t just about business—it’s a full festival experience with music, art, and interactive fun for all ages.
Throughout the day, local youth bands from Groove Shack will perform, keeping the energy high with live music. Additional performances include the Gemini Cheerleaders and Chorus. Art lovers will enjoy a free community art project led by renowned artist Derek Gores and Marker Space, encouraging attendees to get creative in a hands-on, collaborative experience.
Families can enjoy classic carnival-style games, face painting, inflatables, and more. Food lovers will have their pick of food trucks offering a variety of delicious options, and kids can sip on fun, alcohol-free drinks at the mocktail lounge. Spring Fest 2025 is proudly supported by Lotts Pressure Washing, Melbourne Lawn and Landscape, and Dijon’s Steak and Lobster. For more details and to stay updated, visit the event’s Facebook page
