Veteran’s Memorial Center to Commemorate Vietnam Veterans for National Holiday March 12

The Veteran’s Memorial Center proudly presents a special tribute event honoring Vietnam veterans in commemoration of National Vietnam Veterans Day.

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The Veteran’s Memorial Center will present a special tribute event honoring Vietnam veterans in commemoration of National Vietnam Veterans Day.

This tribute, sponsored by Disabled American Veterans Chapter 32, will take place on March 12  from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Eau Gallie Civic Center at 1551 Highland Avenue.

It will feature an esteemed lineup of speakers who served in Vietnam.

Among the distinguished guests are two former DAV National Commanders and a former POW who endured six years of captivity at the infamous Hanoi Hilton.

Their stories of bravery, resilience, and dedication to service will serve as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by those who served during the Vietnam War.

QUICK REACTION TEAM LEADER: Staff Sergeant Glenn W. Briggs of Merritt Island in South Vietnam, circa 1967. Briggs’ military service in the U.S. Air Force began in July 1956, and his service in Vietnam began in 1958 on a Temporary Duty Travel assignment, followed by tours in 1961, 1963, 1965-67, 1968-1970, 1971-72, and several TDYs from 1973 to 1975.
