Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – While we are blessed that our community celebrates our Agency’s hard work each and every day, I ask that this this week during “National Correctional Officer Appreciation Week” that you recognize the proud members of our Corrections Team for the incredible work they do to keep our community safe.
Our Brevard County Corrections Deputies and team members face some of the most difficult and tough challenges in our profession and are without question some of the most courageous law enforcement officers in the country.
These brave men and women work in an environment filled with criminals, sexual deviants, and murderers, and yet they represent our agency with honor, integrity, dedication, and pride, as they know our citizens rely on them to help keep evil away.
While they work to maintain a safe environment inside the jail, they also serve another purpose in helping to influence the lives of these inmates to hopefully get them back on the right track in life!!
So if you happen to personally know one of our Corrections Team members, let them know how much you appreciate both them and their family who share their loved one with us so that they can keep our community safe!! And if you don’t personally know one of our team you can leave them a message, right here, letting them know how much you appreciate them.
I could not be more proud of our team and I ask you to please join me in thanking them for their service to our community and representing the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office with professionalism and bravery.
