National Weather Service Issues Special Marine Warning for Brevard County Until 8:45 p.m. ET

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service has issued a Special Marine Warning for the coastal waters of Brevard County, Florida, effective until 8:45 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Affected Areas:

  • Titusville

  • Indian River City

  • Port Saint John

  • Cape Canaveral

  • Merritt Island

  • Pineda

  • Palm Shores

Hazard Details:

  • Winds: Greater than 34 knots

  • Hail: None expected

  • Waterspouts: Not anticipated

Safety Alert:

The warning includes a risk of steep waves, prompting mariners to seek safe harbor and take protective actions as necessary.

Boaters and coastal residents are advised to monitor weather updates and remain cautious as conditions may quickly deteriorate. This alert covers both inland and offshore waters extending east of Cape Canaveral.
