bad guy doesn’t understand how quickly you find out if you mess around in Brevard County!

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – So here I was riding and relaxing in my personal limo last week when all of a sudden Andrew, who for whatever reason calls himself my partner, alerts me to the fact that we have a possible bad guy who doesn’t understand how quickly you find out if you mess around in Brevard County!
Now, to be clear, Andrew is not my partner cause if he were, I would be riding with him in the front seat and maybe even driving the dang car every once in a while.
Instead, I’m sitting back here with a crappy view of everything, a freaking giant Kong that wouldn’t fit in Godzilla’s mouth, and a water bowl that splashes water all over me every time we turn a corner.
If he is my partner, then he sucks, ’cause partners do stuff together, and I don’t ever see him out in the backyard pooping with me or even eating out of a dog dish beside me on the floor!
Well, anyway, Andrew tells me we have a hot call to go on as our North Precinct Deputies are working a call involving a burglary and a battery that had just occurred.
Anthony Goodrich was arrested after he fled the scene in a vehicle before Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies arrived, prompting a pursuit.

During the chase, law enforcement deployed stop sticks, which successfully disabled the vehicle and forced it off the roadway. BCSO said Goodrich then crashed into a ditch and attempted to evade capture by fleeing on foot. Brevard County Deputies issued commands for him to surrender, but when he allegedly refused, a K-9 unit was deployed.
Goodrich was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Brevard County Jail. He now faces multiple charges, including: Burglary while committing a battery, Fleeing and eluding law enforcement, Driving under the influence (DUI).
The perp (that’s cop talk for suspect) had left the residence where the incident had occurred and was allegedly heading to his own home, where he said that law enforcement would have to kill him if they came to his house.
Once I heard the nature of the call, I told Andrew to drive me over there so I could take a bite out of crime and maybe one of these guys’ arms or legs as well, since he apparently had forgotten he was in Brevard County.
As luck would have it, while we are driving over there, Deputy Quiles-Rivera and Andrew observe the suspect, Anthony Goodrich’s truck, as it turns onto Diane Drive.
As Deputy Quiles-Rivera and Andrew pull up in their marked patrol vehicles and activate their emergency blue lights, Goodrich, who was facing our patrol unit, throws his vehicle into reverse and tries to run.
I’m like, really dude, you gonna try and run from Brevard County Deputies…you must be crazy!
Well, as I tell the other dogs, “you can’t fix stupid,” so Goodrich fled the scene, and eventually, after a little fun car chase, our partners at Titusville PD flattened his tires with these things that look like a big row of dog teeth, but for some reason are called stop sticks.
Shortly after that, he not only crashes into a deep ditch, but then the fool gets out on foot and tries to run yet again.

As it’s happening, I’m yelling at Andrew to pop the door and let me go, as I got something for this guy, and I can’t wait to give it to him. Of course, Andrew is yelling at me in some high-pitched voice that sounds like his sister’s, that I have full authority to engage the suspect!!
Yeah, no sh*t, Andrew cause it’s not like you are gonna run him down unless he all of a sudden fell into quicksand or something!
The only good news is that luckily I didn’t have to stop and go pee as I usually do when I get out of the truck, so I just ran him down so I could see just how good and rich ole Mr. Goodrich here actually tasted!
Unfortunately for me, even though he ran from the Deputies like a big ole chicken after selling all those wolf tickets about how tough he was, he didn’t actually taste like chicken. I mean, at least not both his arms, his leg, or his back, all of which I got a good taste of cause he kept resisting.
You know, folks, for someone who was tough enough to break into someone else’s house and physically assault them and then talk tough about what would happen if he saw cops at his house, he sure was screaming and kicking his legs a lot like a little baby throwing a temper tantrum cause his mommy wouldn’t give him a juice box!
I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself, but of course, I’m a trained professional, so I would never do that.
And of course, after I do all the work, Andrew and all the other donut eaters take credit for it while they shove a stuffed toy in my snout to shut me up and keep me from telling Sheriff Ivey that they didn’t do diddly squat.

I did all the work of putting my life on the line, chasing the guy down, risking getting some kind of criminalitis by biting him, and they take him into custody like they just did something.
Of course, after I did all the work, Goodrich took the ride to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge, where he had a waiting reservation for Burglary While Committing a Battery, Fleeing and Eluding, and DUI!
Even though I won’t get credit for the apprehension, maybe Andrew will buy me a nice steak dinner somewhere to reward me for my actions.
Wait… who am I kidding? That boy is so cheap when he goes to Costco; all the free-sample vendors make a run for it. Oh well, onto the next call for service as I make Andrew look good.
This job sucks!
