It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alan Piter, who left us peacefully on April 2, 2025, at 65. Alan was the beloved first son of Rosalie and Marty Piter, and his life touched countless people from his roots in Connecticut to communities across South and Central Florida.
Alan began his professional journey working alongside his parents at Ridgefield Music Studios, where he built relationships that blossomed into lifelong friendships.
He later continued his career at ACE Music in Miami, forging lasting bonds with some of the most renowned names in and outside the music industry. As the Southeast U.S. Regional Representative for Fender Instruments, Alan traveled extensively, visiting stores and connecting with customers from all walks of life and every genre of music.
When the time came to settle closer to home, Alan brought his wealth of customer experience to the automotive industry, joining Mike Erdman Toyota.
For over a decade, he played an instrumental role in the store’s growth and customer loyalty efforts. Alan earned the Southeast Toyota PRO ASM Award five years in a row and received thousands of glowing customer satisfaction surveys as testaments to his dedication, professionalism, and personal touch.
A fiercely competitive spirit, Alan strove to excel in everything he pursued, from fishing and martial arts to hockey and baseball. He passed this same drive to his sons, David and Keith, teaching them to be accountable, honest, and strong.
His siblings, Jay and Wendy, admired his resilience and ability to navigate life’s challenges with determination and grace.
Alan’s greatest source of strength and joy was his loving wife, Sandra. Sweethearts since a young age, they stood by each other through every chapter of life for over 49 years. Sandra was by his side until the very end, holding him in her arms and thanking him for being an extraordinary husband and father. Her love gave him peace in his final moments.
Born on April 27, 1959, Alan was a devoted grandfather to Sage and Ellis, who brought endless happiness into his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength.
Forever in our hearts and thoughts, Alan—you will always be deeply missed.
