Caught 99 passes for 2,133 Yards and 24 Touchdowns During the Tigers’ 2024 Championship Season
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On the strength of his record-setting prep career for the Cocoa Tigers – 234 catches for 4,362 yards and 50 touchdowns, Jayvan Boggs joins an elite group of Cocoa football players who have been inducted into the Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame.
“Displays suddenness as a route runner and will set defensive backs up with dynamic cuts and slick head fakes as he attacks leverage. Quick to locate the football and has proven to be rather sure-handed,” said Andrew Ivins, the Director of Scouting for 247Sports.
This sage evaluation came before Boggs would have a record-setting season for the Cocoa Tigers.
Stepping foot on the gridiron for the Tigers, Boggs improved exponentially year after year. As a sophomore, he began making a name for himself, catching 41 passes for 722 yards and six touchdowns.
His efforts helped the Tigers win the 2S State Championship. After an outstanding campaign, Boggs’s legacy was just getting started.
Heading into his junior year, Boggs was cemented as the featured wide receiver for the Tigers, and he put up the numbers to prove it.
Reeling in an incredible 93 catches for 1,493 yards and 24 touchdowns, Boggs helped lead the Tigers to their second consecutive state championship. Along with being crowned a champion again, Boggs was named the 2023 Florida Dairy Farmers Mr. Football, the first to do so in school history.

All the hard work and extra hours paid off as Boggs quickly became a highly sought-after receiver in the 2025 class.
As he had been committed to Ohio State during the middle of his junior season, his phone flooded with calls from all the top programs around the country once the year ended.
After multiple visits to top universities, Boggs decided on the University of Missouri. However, the feeling of staying home meant that before the start of Boggs’ senior season, he would decommit from Missouri and commit to the University of Central Florida.
Boggs etched his name into the record books in his senior season, catching 99 passes for 2,133 yards and 24 touchdowns – just 28 yards shy of the Florida single-season receiving yards record.
However, he did set the record for most receiving yards in a game as he put up video game-like numbers in the state semifinals against Cardinal Mooney, hauling in an incredible 17 passes for 378 yards and three scores, shattering the previous record of 358 yards.
Boggs left a legacy at Cocoa, helping lead them to three straight state FHSAA championships—a first in the history of Brevard prep football.
After the 2024 season, Boggs won every award available, including being named a MaxPreps First Team All-American.
As the time came to decide on his future, Boggs chose to sign with Florida State University and is now looking to make an immediate impact for the Seminoles.
Combining his record-setting stats with the Tigers’ Threepeat, Jayvan Boggs earned his right to an early induction into the Space Coast Hall of Fame.
