Kenneth Miller, 19, booked into Ivey's Iron Bar Lodge

Kenneth Miller, 19, faces charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle and driving with license suspended, revoked or canceled with knowledge (second offense)
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This past Monday, Deputies took a report of a stolen vehicle from the Kia dealership in Melbourne that an unknown suspect had taken off the lot the day before.
Later that evening, the vehicle was determined to be in the area of West King Street in Cocoa, and our team went to work.
Deputy Keith Grosse of our Ag/Marine Unit subsequently observed the vehicle in the McDonald’s drive-thru line, pulled up to the menu board, and placed an order, possibly for a Hamburglar Happy Meal!
Deputy Grosse pulled in behind the vehicle like he was lining up to place an order as well, and then shortly after, our partners from Cocoa PD arrived on the scene to help block the vehicle in.
The driver and only person in the car by the way, Kenneth Miller, was taken into custody and interestingly enough he told Deputies that he didn’t have a driver’s license…but wait that’s not all…Miller is already out on bond for driving while his license was suspended with knowledge, resisting an officer, reckless driving, and failure to register a motor vehicle.
So he is already out on bond for doing dumb criminal stuff, and then decides to go steal a car.
And here’s where the case gets even better, or how about juicier than a Big Mac: Miller matches the description of one of the two males who test-drove that same vehicle a few days prior.
And when Kia employees came to retrieve the vehicle, they brought two sets of keys with them from the dealership, but only one set worked. The good news is that the other set of keys to the vehicle wasn’t lost, as they were in Miller’s pocket.
BCSO Agents believe Miller and the other suspect switched the set of keys during the test drive, allowing them to come back and steal the vehicle with no problems. And to top it all off, the tag on the vehicle was from another Kia dealership.
As always, a great job by all of our Deputies, Agents, and partners at the Cocoa Police Department on this case!
Another criminal is behind bars on no bond…I’m lovin’ it!! Did anyone other than me just hear the music play for the McDonald’s jingle?
