Brevard Federated Republican Women Celebrate 75 Years of Sisterhood With Tea Party, Fashion Show

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — The Brevard Federated Republican Women is thrilled with the success of their 75th Anniversary Tea Party and Fashion Show on July 19, a joyful celebration, honoring decades of conservative leadership and the women that shaped it.

This special gathering brought together Republican women from across the county for an afternoon of fun, reflection and pride in their shared values.
BFRW’s President, Xiaoqi Wang, said “As we celebrate our 75th anniversary we appreciate more and more how great the Federation Republican Women organization is, and we truly believe that the Federation’s Legacy is too great to fail.”

Ms. Wang also said that “For years, Federation Republican Women have been a shining example of what it means to lead with strength, grace, and conviction and through generations. Mothers, daughters, granddaughters. We’ve proudly passed the conservative torch, preserving values rooted in faith, family and freedom.”

The Celebration’s main architects were Ms. Georgia Haridopolos and Pastor Patti Ann Febro. Pastor Febro was also the Master of Ceremony. Barbara Price, President of Florida Federation of Republican Women, praised BFRW’s hard work, and encouraged all conserve women to work with Republican Party to assure a big win in 2026.

Teresa Snipes, Faith Coalition Coordinator for Nation Federation of Republican Women, led the invocation and spoke about the Federation of Republican Women, their mission and their goals. Carol Jean Jordan, Indian River County Tax Collector, Former Chairwoman of Republican Party and President of Florida Federation of Republican Women also spoke to the group.

The banquet hall was beautiful, with nineteen tables, each presenting a different theme, set with a BFRW hostess member’s personal Chinaware and decorated by the hostess and her friends. The table themes were: Diamonds are Forever; Southern Heat; The Windy City; Strolling Among The Magnolias; Trump-Era Reign; Parasols and Pearls; Patriots; Christmas in July; Empowering Women; Grandma’s Love; Rose Garden; A Mother’s Touch; Ocean Breeze; Mornings with God; Daisies & Butterflies Garden; Sheroes in Wonderland; Lavender and Lace; A Safari Tale; Forever Young.

Ms. Wang said the Hostess creativity was amazing, that it took incredible amount work, and teamwork, by the Hostesses and their friends to design and construct each table, and thanked the Tea Party Committee, Table Hostesses and all their friends for their hard work.

Not to be outdone by the Table Hostesses; six beautiful BFRW members walked the runway, showcasing outfits from the Genesis House Collection. Genesis House, which runs a boutique supporting it’s services, provides emergency shelter to homeless women and their children; long term housing to student mothers and their children; and a shelter for homeless pregnant women. Ms. Wang said that BFRW’s Celebration would not have been the same without Genesis House, thanked Genesis House for its support, and urged everyone in the community to support Genesis House’s good work.

The event was photographed by BFRW’s youngest member, Catriona McDonald. Ms. McDonald, a recent high school grad, was inspired to join BFRW after her JROTC team Presented the Colors at BFRW’s Military Dinner in March. Ms. Wang said that with younger members like Catriona she is confident that BFRW’s legacy, empowering women of all backgrounds in the political process and providing a forum for women serving and seeking to serve as leaders in the political, government and civics arenas, will endure for the next 75-years.

BFRW’s 75th Anniversary Tea Party and Fashion Show was sponsored by Congressman Mike Haridopolos and local attorney, Chip George, and Ms. Wang thanked them both for their continuing support.

Ms. Wang said that Federated Republican Women is a movement created by women, for the benefit of women and America. She also said that “despite the present hostile political environment, Federation Republican Women will always lead with grace and pride because conservative women are beautiful, happy women!”
