Brevard County Celebrates Eastern Florida State College Paramedic Program Graduates

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The Melbourne and Palm Bay Fire Departments celebrated members who recently graduated from Eastern Florida State College‘s Paramedic Program.

The accomplishment represents months of intensive classroom instruction, hands-on training, and clinical experience.

The following members of Melbourne Fire Department graduated the EFSC Paramedic Program:

● Firefighter Adams
● Driver Engineer Bash
● Firefighter Dalrymple
● Firefighter Ireland
● Firefighter Reichert
● Firefighter Woodruff

About Melbourne Fire Department

The Melbourne Fire Department provides for the protection of life and property through innovative emergency medical care, fire suppression and hazard mitigation services. All stations are licensed in advanced life support and are staffed by paramedics. Personnel also aid in community disaster relief.

Melbourne participates in the Brevard County Mutual Aid program, enabling MFD to draw on resources throughout the county when a major incident occurs or when Melbourne personnel are committed to multiple incidents. MFD also participates in the Statewide Emergency Response agreement.

ISO Class 1 Fire Department

Melbourne Fire Department is a designated ISO Class 1 department, placing it among placing it among the top 1% of fire departments in the nation and the top 10% of fire departments in the state of Florida. It was the first fire department in Brevard County to receive a Class 1 rating.

Palm Bay Fire Rescue also celebrated 15 members also graduated from the Paramedic Program at Eastern Florida State College.

The following members of Palm Bay Fire Rescue graduated the EFSC Paramedic Program:
