BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Brevard County Fire Rescue is seeking motivated and community-minded individuals to join its ranks as part of the 2025 hiring schedule.
The department, an Advanced Life Support transport agency, is offering opportunities for State of Florida-certified Firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics, as well as sponsorships for those pursuing certification.
Qualified applicants must hold a valid Florida driver’s license, CPR/ACLS certification, and a current Candidate Physical Ability Test. All Firefighter/EMTs are required to obtain paramedic certification within department time frames, with tuition covered by the agency.
The hiring process includes a written exam, practical skills tests, and a thorough background investigation.

The 2025 recruitment cycle includes four classes, with some application deadlines in September. Each class follows a set schedule of written and physical ability testing, leading up to orientation.

In addition to firefighter positions, the department is also hiring for Fire Prevention Inspector, Fire Medic, Ocean Lifeguard, and Paramedic roles.
