Odyssey Charter School Elementary Welcomes Dr. Brian Dawson as New Principal for 2025–2026 School Year

Dr. Dawson brings over 25 years of experience in educational leadership to the Titan community

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Odyssey Elementary is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Brian Dawson as the school’s new principal, beginning July 2025.

With more than 25 years of experience in education—including nearly 15 years as an elementary and secondary principal and seven years in district-level leadership in the Austin, Texas area—Dr. Dawson brings a strong track record of academic excellence, instructional innovation, and student-centered leadership.

His selection was officially approved by the Odyssey Charter School Board of Directors, following a comprehensive search process to identify a leader whose values and experience align with the school’s mission and vision.

Recognized for his deep commitment to whole-child education, Dr. Dawson has consistently fostered nurturing school cultures that prioritize academic growth alongside students’ social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

His leadership style aligns seamlessly with Odyssey Elementary’s “Whole School–Whole Child” mission, which emphasizes the holistic development of every learner.

Dr. Dawson expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Titan family:

Dr. Dawson’s arrival follows the dedicated leadership of Ms. Wendi Nolder, who will continue to support the school in her new role as Director of Professional Learning. The leadership transition will be a collaborative one, ensuring continuity and stability as the school enters an exciting new chapter.
