Palm Bay Police to Honor Fallen Sergeant Frank Tobar With Memorial Plaque at Sacrifice Park on Aug. 20

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA — The Palm Bay Police Department will honor the memory of fallen Sergeant Frank Tobar with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque at Sacrifice Park on August 20, at 10 a.m.

Sergeant Tobar made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty on August 20, 2021.

Sergeant Tobar began his service with the City of Palm Bay in 1995 as a Light Equipment Operator. In 2004, he transitioned into law enforcement, where he served with distinction and was promoted to Master Police Officer shortly before his passing.

Throughout his career, he held various roles within the department, most notably serving as the lead advisor for the Police Explorers program for over 16 years, a role in which he mentored and inspired countless young individuals.

The memorial ceremony offers an opportunity for both the Palm Bay Police Department and the broader community to come together in remembrance and gratitude for Sergeant Tobar’s dedication, service, and sacrifice.

His name will be permanently preserved on the Wall of the Fallen at Sacrifice Park on the fourth anniversary of his death.

All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend.
