Flock Safety camera system leads to arrest of suspect, charged with two counts of exposure of sexual organs and three counts of stalking

Palm Bay police detectives have arrested a 17-year-old juvenile following an investigation into several reported incidents that drew widespread community concern over the past week. Following surveillance efforts, detectives located the suspect and the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. A 17-year-old juvenile was taken into custody and charged with two counts of exposure of sexual organs and three counts of stalking.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay police detectives have arrested a 17-year-old juvenile following an investigation into several reported incidents that drew widespread community concern over the past week.

According to the Palm Bay Police Department, officers were notified of three separate incidents involving a male who allegedly approached victims from his vehicle and exposed himself to them.

The reports generated significant attention on social media, prompting community members to share information to help alert others. Investigators said all victims provided consistent accounts, describing a similar suspect and vehicle.

Detectives with the department’s Special Victims Unit reviewed the reported dates, times, locations, and vehicle description and were able to identify a vehicle of interest using the Flock Safety camera system.

Following surveillance efforts, detectives located the suspect and the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. A 17-year-old juvenile was taken into custody and charged with two counts of exposure of sexual organs and three counts of stalking.

Palm Bay Police Detectives with the Special Victims Unit reviewed the reported dates, times, locations, and vehicle description and identified a vehicle of interest using the Flock Safety camera system.

Police officials emphasized the importance of victims coming forward, noting that their willingness to report these incidents was critical to identifying the suspect and protecting others in the community.

The department also highlighted the role of the Flock Safety camera system in expediting assistance to detectives during the investigation.
